Random photo time!!!

Here is Gabi's crib now... hahahaha... DISASTER! You can see her car seat, blankets, bags of clothes.. oyi-oyi-yoi!

Ok, so check out this complete grossness!!! YUCK! (well YUM)
Last week I had a *mad* craving for chili cheese fries! Well, I was going to go to Sonic, but then dd found some fries in the freezer, and I had a can of chili - so I heated up the chili, baked the fries, and added velvetta in the chili (I might have told this story) Anyway - here is the result...
HAHAHAHA!!! Not responsible for nausea after viewing this photo!! ;)
Here is the pink paint for the nursery (there is pink, brown and off white)
Here you can see the new paint on the older pink - not too much of a difference, but enough.

That's really it!

I just got my swing!!!! :)

Yay!!! :) So here I am, just sitting online, and I thought I'd check walmart.com for prices - it was........ $120!!!! Holy cow! Way cheap!

This is usually at least $179, $169, and I've seen it for $149 - but never just a flat $120! So I just got it! It's being delivered to the store by my house..
Speaking of the walmart by my house -- isn't this cute? lol... "Parking for expectant mothers" I love it! It's right next to handicap... haahehehee...

Anyway - I'm so happy that is marked off the list... I know she'll be doing a lot of sleeping and resting in that thing.. and it's so cute!!! :D

Feels like panic mode (already?)

I'm semi freaking out... I just feel like there are TONS of things to be done! And yes, while I have about 15 weeks before my little one arrives, I just have tons to do!
We still haven't got her swing yet - Probably in the next couple of weeks. Then we still need to get a bouncy, and a lot of the new style bouncers are papasan type - almost laying down! I want more of an upright one! So I need to decide which one I want!
I also need to get which pack and play I want - I did find a 4 in 1 bassinet that was nice, and really wouldn't take up much space at all - however, for the price, I think a pnp would be much better!
I have to finish painting -- get the drapes/curtains done - work on her baby book, bla bla bla..
But I also work all the time, I'm a full time Mother - AND I want free time before she's here!
I don't want to be working my butt off all the way until her birth!
I think pretty soon they'll be scheduling the c-section!! ack! I see my Dr. next week. The appt after that is the glucose test, and then it's bi-weekly appts after that! SEE.. it's going way too fast!
It's 9am on Saturday morning, and I need to go up and work in the nursery. That was my plan, however I'm lazy. lol
;)
Talk to you later...

Nesting!!

Boy am I nesting! I feel like doing TONS! Today we re-arranged the family room (pics later) and it feels great! You know when you move things around and that in turn causes you to throw things away, clean the dust on the floor board behind the couch - you know, all those things you never - ever touch on a regular clean?

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh feels nice!!!! :D

I have brownies in the oven, and taco bell on it's way .... yup.. it's a good day! :)

I wish I had a WEEK! I'd have tons done! Well, Spring break is on it's way.. and perhaps then I can get all the things done I want! Watch out house, a pregnant broad is ready to tear it up!! ;) lol

Oh, and the kicking... Gabi is kicking me SO much it's crazy! I'm no longer getting "just" kicks, now I'm getting her elbow moving across the lower belly! It's wonderful! My stomach is TOTALLY a hand magnet! I feel like it's constantly there!
My youngest girl has felt it more than anyone - but mostly because she's always laying with me, kwim?
Dh has felt it more and more. Yesterday I made him sit by me on the couch and just feel. He liked it!
I wish I could bottle this up! I tell you, it's the best part of pregnancy -- feeling your bub move.
In about 6 weeks I'm going to see her LITTLE FACE!!! I'm having my 4D u/s! :) I'm so excited!! I'm always thinking .... will she look like my oldest? (who looks like my husband?) or my youngest who looks like a mixture of me and my mother in law! I just don't know!! lol... I'm sure she'll be her own, and be incredibly gorgeous!! :)

Gabriela Halina
Just had to write it... It's such a cute name, but lately we've (I) have been throwing out other names, but quite honestly -- everyone in this house is calling her Gabi now! It's not just "the baby" anymore, now it's Gabi! So.. Ya, even though there are other names I like as well, I don't think I'd want to change it at this point! It's just her name, ya know?

Anyway...

22 weeks!! :)

Here are my 22 week shots! I turn another week on Wednesday, but I always do my belly shot on Friday - So I'm actually 22 weeks and 2 days, but who's counting? :)

My baby is almost viable!!!

Pictures aren't that fabulous this week - the black doesn't show much definition, and the pattern of the shirt is distracting - but oh well... :)

Just amazing!!

I know this is an older picture, and story -- but enough to pass along...

More than anything - this is a 21 week fetus! *I'm* 21 weeks!!! :)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A picture began circulating in November. It should be 'The Picture of the Year,' or perhaps, 'Picture of the Decade.' It won't be. In fact, unless you obtained a copy of the US paper which published it, you probably would never have seen it.

The picture is that of a 21-week-old unborn baby named Samuel Alexander Armas, who is being operated on by surgeon named Joseph Bruner.

The baby was diagnosed with spinal bifida and would not survive if removed from his mother's womb. Little Samuel's mother, Julie Armas, is an obstetrics nurse in Atlanta .

She knew of Dr. Bruner's remarkable surgical procedure. Practicing at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville , he performs these special operations while the baby is still in the womb.

During the procedure, the doctor removes the uterus via C-section and makes a small incision to operate on the baby.

As Dr. Bruner completed the surgery on Samuel, the little guy reached his tiny, but fully developed hand through the incision and firmly grasped the surgeon's finger. Dr. Bruner was reported as saying that when his finger was grasped, it was the most emotional moment of his life, and that for an instant during the procedure he was just frozen, totally immobile. The photograph captures this amazing event with perfect clarity.

The editors titled the picture, 'Hand of Hope.' The text explaining the picture begins, 'The tiny hand of 21-week- old fetus Samuel Alexander Armas emerges from the mother's uterus to grasp the finger of Dr. Joseph Bruner as if thanking the doctor for the gift of life.'Little Samuel's mother said they 'wept for days' when they saw the picture. She said, 'The photo reminds us pregnancy isn't about disability or an illness, it's about a little person.' Samuel was born in perfect health, the operation 100 percent successful.

Now see the actual picture, and it is awesome...incredible....and hey, pass it on. The world needs to see this one!

Soooooo amazing!!!!

Just a few things!! :)

We got the mattress tonight!! :) YAY!! I'm so excited to see her pretty room come along!! :)
We got a sealy "natural" mattress with organic cotton.

Here's a blanket I picked up @ Kohls - they're having a sale, and it was 40% off! :)
More receiving blankets! You can't have too many!! I wonder when I'll get sick of all her pink/brown? (not yet!!!)
Gabriela's baby book! I can't WAIT to start on it! It's going to have everything that a "Store" bought baby book has, but it's all going to be designed by me!! :)
Here are the baskets I got for her changing table! :) So cute!!
And here are the bows that I'm going to sew on the brown liner on the baskets!! :) And last, a picture of DD and me on Valentine's day!! :) My hair is a little crazy, because it was snowing.. But I thought it was cute!!
This is a pic of my purdy tat - my "fur baby" !! Her name is Sophie! :)
-------------------------------------------------------
Ok, grand finale!! :) This is the outift I got for my 8 year old Daughter - and Gabi! SO adorable!!! :)
The only difference is my daughter will be wearing a dress like the next photo under this one. A tank top dress instead of this one.
My 8 year old's will say "Gabriela's big sister" and the on the bottom will say her name.
The Gabi's onsie will say "Kristina and Makayla's baby sister" and then it will say Gabriela on the bottom!
LOOK @ the tu-tu! :) SO CUTE!! This is her coming home outfit I suppose... I've been looking for something, and a lot of "Big sister" shirts look cheap sort of like iron on's onto a hanes T-shirt.. I wanted something much cuter! :) Think I found it? I DO!!

The actual dress that will be my DD's - the baby one will be identical to that one above.
That's it for tonight!! :)

Got the blanket!!! :D

Here are the pics of the blanket I just won tonight on Ebay! Gotta' love ebay!:)
I've been looking for it for a while, but because my bedding line is discontinued, of course people are raping you with their prices online.. ugh.. I got a *great* deal on this! :)
It's all soft and furry, and best of all it's her bedding line!!

Sick of crap!

Again, people are getting on my ever last nerve. SO much. I just wonder if I'm the *only* person I know that has a heart for family - who wants to spend the rest of their life with family. Isn't that what your life is about? Once you have children, and a family of your own?

I don't know.. I'm honestly surprised how I turned out, and the strong feelings I have towards my own family. I'm just glad I'll have 3 beautiful Daughters who will be in my life forever. I honestly can't wait until my girls are in their 20's and 30's and we can shop, gossip, go to movies, have weekly dinner, and I can spend time with.

I don't have time for anything else....

-----------------------------------------------------

Now, I know I've always felt this strong feeling - but being pregnant has REALLY made me more crazy about it! I just can't describe it. My girls are absolutely everything to me... everything...

Let me share 2 pics.
This my love.... my sweet, sweet - compassionate, smart, happy witty little 8 year old. She's incredible. She's so intelligent it blows my mind.. :D I just adore her..

This is my gorgeous, incredibly talented, big hearted, well behaved teenager! I had her when I was so young.. (18) and I'm happy to have stayed with her father, had a 16 year marriage, and raised her. I work with teens, and I know their personality (not really likable, and generally self centered!) lol.. however, I have been blessed with this one. She's SO talented it isn't even funny. :)

So ya.. thanks for letting me share my beauties.. I'm so proud of them both, I adore them both more than you know -- and adding another sweetheart is only going to make me more happier!!

I feel like my Children are growing up before my eyes - and I have to wonder why others don't want to spend every minute they can with them..

----------------------------------

21 week photo!! :D Happy Valentine's!! :)

Whoa!! I feel HUGE! lol... Maybe because I am?! I'm having quite a few kids at school ask me now if I'm pregnant, staring at my belly, pointing and giggling.. It's cute.

Today some 6th grade girls said "c'mere" and whispered in my ear "are you pregnant?"

lol.. They're so cute!

So We're going to be going out in the next couple of weeks and just finish getting everything we want. I can't wait, especially for my swing!! (you'd think *I* want to swing in it!!)

So the two photos - one I just felt like doing something silly and different. The other was a quick one. Gabi is moving all over now! I love it, she actually is waking me up when I'm sleeping, well - when I get up to go to the restroom for the um-teenth time, and she decides to be up! I love it! There isn't anything that feels better than a baby inside you! :D

I'm hoping to make some progress on the nursery this weekend, so watch for that! I'm going to make a wooden valance out of the extra crib skirts I got to match our bedding. That should be so cute!

until later..

me

Her letters!! :D (and other mumblings..)

I did move around the papers, so they wont be this exact layout, but here it is! These are the letters we got at Hobby Lobby for 50% off! :D
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I then found this later tonight when we were at a store!! :D I just couldn't resist! I know it's a bit tacky, and it'll go outside on her door or something, but hey - to find her name with HER spelling is cool!!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here's a picture of Dh and DD putting together the crib today!! They were so cute and did a great job! The crib even has a trundle drawer under it, and he did it ALL! I wish I had the mattress so I could get the bedding in... !~~sigh.. But I have tons to do in this room!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a cute little picture frame I got a Hobby lobby!! I just couldn't pass this up! :D You can tell all the way in the photo, but it's all pink and brown (duh)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
And last... a BORING.. out of the shower belly pic in a big baggy shirt.. (I'm usually wearing fitted ones)

Out and about!!

So today we had a nice day! We went up to the local outlet mall, and then to another Target to look at Mattresses, but didn't find much. So then we went to dinner at Chili's, because we had a gift card.
Then we went up to Hobby Lobby and got Gabriela's letters for her room and paper! I'm so excited to get started on them, even though their one of the last things to go up!
lol
Then we went over to Home Depot and I got ALL the paint for her room!! I'm so excited, it's going to be amazing!
Then we went to the furniture store and bought her dresser!! Finally I have a place besides rubbermaid tubes to put her clothes! :D Yay!!!
So who knows when I'm going to get started, hopefully soon. I've been in the process of removing all of the old wallpaper border from her nursery now, so that's tons of fun!
Well, that's it for the moment! Just thought I'd update my day, and say how happy I am to have this behind me! Now for the next items!!!!!

My list....

Big list of things we have to buy. We're starting to get really busy with all of Gabriela's stuff, and getting it all put together and what not. I thought I'd make a master list of things I still need to purchase.

  1. Swing. We want the Graco Sweetpeace swing. Retails for $179, though it can be found numerous places online cheaper and on sale. Currently it's on sale at Target for $161
  2. Mattress. I need a new mattress. I'd like the organic cotton one at Target that retails for $99
  3. Recliner. I'm going to get a new relicner for our family room, as that's where I currently spend most of my time, and will be after she's here - they're great for feeding and who doesn't like to put their feet up?
  4. New Pack-N-Play. After going back and forth - and back on forth whether or not to use this (they're so big) we decided to. DD's from last time is missing most of the bars that go on top for the changer. So we're going to get a new one. Not sure which pattern, and they sure have changed in 9 years!!
  5. Baby bath tub. I need a new one. I like one at Target that's pink. It's cute!
  6. Baskets for changing table. Found the ones I want at Walmart last night! They're the absolute perfect color for her table! I only wish they were lined with pink instead of brown. (baskets are brown) hmm.. maybe I can make them?
  7. Cloth diapers. No I'm not doing CD, but I love these for burp clothes. I'll make sure to put them on my registry at Target!
  8. Letters for her name! I plan on doing the "trendy" look with her name above the crib, only because I find it adorable and didn't do it the last 2 times! So I need to purchase those at Hobby Lobby!
  9. Scrapbook! I've decided to do her baby book instead of buy it. Those ones you buy (like I have with my other 2) are over prices, and you can make them SO MUCH cuter!! I can't wait to get started and want to get lots of ideas! I might even ask my sister in law for some help as she has all the stuff!
  10. Bottles! The only bottles I'm interested in are the Adiri bottles! <-- see link for more info. They're so awesome, and look and feel just like Mom! They aren't cheap, and so far the only place I've seen them has been babies r us. I'd like at least 2 in each stage!
  11. Baby carrier! I'm totally sold on the Moby Wrap <- click link for details. This to me looks like the best baby carrier! My husband would like a baby bjorn carrier, but I might find one used and just use the Moby most of the time!
  12. Dresser! -- actually this we found last night, and are probably going to go pick it up today some time! I'm excited! It matches her set perfectly!! :D
  13. Coming home outfit! I need to find my precious girl an amazing coming home outfit!! I'm on the look-out, and have seen a couple things that are cute. I guess I have time for this. She'll be a summer baby so I don't want anything too hot or warm, but then I don't want anything too cold either!
  14. Breast accessories! I need a breast pump, I'm leaning towards the Medela Harmony. It's a manual breast pump. Sure I'd like something more powerful, but I love breastfeeding, and don't really plan on doing tons of pumping. So.. I think I'll just go with a basic manual. I need breast pads! A lot of them!
  15. Good nursing bra! I'm going to get a Bravado <- click link... But I want to wait to see how BIG I get first!
  16. --- be back later to finish!

As you can see I have tons to buy!!! We don't have a lot of help in terms of people buying for us. I know my father in law will get us something, but honestly this was my late Mother in Law's thing! I'm sure he has no clue, but my husband said he will. I'm not really going to wait around, I think we'll just take care of things on our own I suppose. I have so much to get!! I just want everything to be perfect! I feel like I don't have that much longer to go!!!!

Ok.. I'll be back later to add more. Hubby is putting up the crib now, and I need to take pics!!

:D

Changing table is up!

My little one helped me put together Gabi's changing table! :D It's so cute! I can't wait until the crib and everything else is done and put together! It's going to be such a darling nursery!
I'm going to get dark brown and white baskets lined with pink for the table!

This is not the kind of table I originally wanted, but I got *such* a great deal on this and the crib, I'd be stupid to pass it up! It'll do just fine! And I think the white is so sweet!

My 20 week anatomy ultrasound!!!

The U/S was wonderful!! The lady was so nice, and actually told me EVERYTHING WAS NORMAL!! I'm so happy!! I didn't think she'd say anything!!

Gabi is pushed up SO hard against my right side, even by my right hip and over more! She couldn't even get a CLEAR shot of the sex!!
Thank goodness I already had my gender u/s! She "Thought" she saw 3 lines, but coulnd't "be sure" lol.. I know she's all girl! Everything was measuring about 19/5 weeks or so, but her legs.. lol, they measured 21w! *JUST* like my other 2 girls! lol.. I'm almost 5'11, and I have very long legs.. as do my girls!
She has a 3 vessel cord, normal 4 chamber heart, perfect fluid, both kidneys working great! I have a posterior placenta, and she's so cute!
The photos aren't he best, as she was SO squished!! She really has no room! It's amazing how much less she has than 3 weeks ago! So the pics I Have aren't the best! I'll scan them in a bit!

Oh, and best of all? My little GIRL weighs 11oz! How sweet! DH calls her his "can of pop" heehehehee... It was good! I'm so happy!
Her profile!! :D

Her little leg... See her foot?

Front on view of face/skull!

Another shot of both of her legs! You can see her knee cap in the middle!!! Miss Long-Legs!!

It's hard to tell, but she's playing peek-a-boo int his photo!!

This one was SO cute! But she didn't print it as we saw it! Both of her hands were tucked on the side of her cheek.. like a little kid would be laying!

That's it! She's my little 11oz baby girl!! :D The Tech said "Everything is normal"
Ohh I'm so glad!

Today is the day!! :) - And I'm 20 weeks!!!

Today is the day of my big Anatomy ultrasound!
And to think I would only just now be finding out the gender! I'm hoping she's healthy, and STILL a girl!! haha...
I'm really excited! I know I saw her just 3 weeks ago, but it'll be nice to see how much she's grown!
I'll make sure to post the photos later!

Nursery progress!!!!!

LOOK!! Look what we did today!!! We were busy with part TWO of the nursery progress!!!
WE have tons to do - but this is a HUGE start! The room is cleaned out, and just her stuff is in there.
We'll probably start painting in the next few weeks, DH is taking off all the dark trim and putting in thick white trim. Then we'll put the crib up!

:)
